Graduation Requirements
The degree application for an Emory College of Arts and Sciences baccalaureate degree to be granted at the end of each semester (Spring, Summer, and Fall) consists of four parts, all of which must be completed and returned to the College Office by the due date. Degree applications (PDF) are available online or in White Hall 300.
Deadlines for degree applications may be viewed by visiting the Office of the Registrar site. Applications received after the due date as indicated by the Registrar’s calendar for each term will incur a late fee of $25. Spring semester applicants who submit applications after March 31 will not receive their diplomas during the commencement exercises and their names will not appear in the commencement program.
Degree Certification
After the degree applications are received in 300 White Hall, the applications will be reviewed by the College Degree Coordinator to confirm that degree candidates will have satisfied all degree requirements by the end of term. Spring semester candidates with certification problems will be contacted by e-mail on or before March 31. Due to the volume of applications, students will not be notified of deficiencies in requirements in time for schedule change in the spring. Remember that you can self-check your status with the General Education Requirements at any time by using the General Education Requirements Worksheet (PDF).
