Excellence & Achievement

Scholarships

  • Emory Scholars Program
Emory College offers scholarships based on academic merit to incoming first-year students as part of the Emory Scholars Program. Outstanding rising sophomores and rising juniors may also become Emory Scholars through The Dean's Achievement Scholarship. Other internally offered scholarships are also available.

  • Scholarships & Fellowships
List of available national and international scholarship awards. Most of the awards are for undergraduates, a few for Emory College undergraduates only, but some are also available to postgraduates in all schools in the University.

Honors

  • Honor Societies
Students may be elected to membership into a prestigious national or departmental honor society.

  • Honors Program
Honors Programs are available to outstanding students in most, but not all, areas of concentration. Administered by a faculty Honors Committee, these programs enable students to do intensive work in a chosen area and therefore involve work that extends beyond ordinary course requirements and ordinary standards of performance.

Other Programs

  • Learning Programs
Learning Programs is the unit of the Office for Undergraduate Education that provides a variety of sources of academic support to Emory College undergraduates. These programs include individualized and small group tutoring, collaborative learning groups facilitated by peers, science mentoring, consultations and workshops.

  • Science Programs
Learn about the many science-oriented programs that are available at Emory, including advising resources, study abroad programs, and research opportunities.

  • Undergraduate Research
There are many ways for undergraduate science students to get involved in research. Emory College offers a continuum of research opportunities that starts at the freshmen year with the INSPIRE program and continues with the SIRE program in subsequent years.
  • Summer Internship Program
The Emory University Summer Internship Program (eusip) offers students the opportunity to supplement their academic experience with an internship in their chosen field and the opportunity to connect with other Emory interns and alumni during their internship experience. Emory College students who secure summer internships may earn non-academic summer internship credit through the Office for Undergraduate Education.
