See the Summer School 2008 Course Offerings for class selections. To request a printed copy of the Summer 2008 bulletin, send an email to mkorski@emory.edu, and please specify a mailing address of where to send the bulletin. Note to Visiting/Transient Students: If you wish to take a second session course and would like to register before June 30 to ensure a spot in the class, contact the Summer School office at 404-727-0671 or 404-727-6257 for assistance in enrolling. Tuition FeesTuition for Summer Session is $1059 per semester hour for Emory College students and $844 per semester hour for Oxford College students. A $40 athletic fee is charged to all on-campus students. Students who enroll for summer classes will have to settle their financial account in the Boisfeuillet Jones Center or mail payment to Student Financial Services. Registration is not complete unless tuition and fees are paid. You can view your OPUS account to determine the amount you owe and to avoid class cancellation for nonpayment. Summer HousingOn-campus housing is available to enrolled summer school students. For more information, please see University Housing. ApplicationCurrent Emory or Oxford Students may register for summer courses on OPUS or in person in the Woodruff Library, Third Floor, Info Commons on May 19 for the first session and June 30 for the second session. Tuition and fees must be paid at the Boisfeuillet Jones Center or online through the Student Financial Services main OPUS menu. All assessed fees must be paid in full to avoid cancellation or late fees. Returning students (students not enrolled during Spring 2008) should notify their dean's office one month in advance of the start of the summer session so that registration materials are prepared for them prior to registration day. Visiting Students (non-degree-seeking students at Emory) must complete a Visiting Student Summer Application (PDF) either on registration day or mail an application and a $50 application fee to the Office of Admission in advance. This application is for summer term only. Visiting Summer School Students admitted to Emory College for Summer 2008 may apply for the 2008 Emory College Summer Scholarship (PDF). You must enroll for a minimum of six credit hours to be considered. The application deadline is May 19, 2008. New Emory Students (students admitted to Emory for Fall 2008 as new or transfer students) should notify the Office of Admission at least one month prior to the registration date of the session the student plans to attend. Students with Special Standing (students who hold an undergraduate degree and wish to enroll in undergraduate or graduate courses but do not desire admission to a degree program) may apply for admission in Special Standing in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Applications are available from the Graduate School Office, Room 200 of Candler Library, and must be submitted at least one month prior to registration. Students may petition for credit toward a degree for work taken in Special Standing only after having been admitted formally to a degree program. There is no guarantee that credit will be awarded for courses taken in Special Standing.
