MORE Mentoring
The MORE Mentoring Program, through one-on-one mentoring relationships with upperclass students, assists first-year students with the social and academic transition to Emory. We also engage in a number of group activities including the Fall Carnival, the STUD Pageant and other social and academic-related programs. Click here to read more about the MORE Program. Space is limited, so students should sign up today! Be sure to join us on Saturday, August 22, 2009, for our Welcome Reception!

Sustainability at Emory
Emory has identified sustainability as a top priority of the university. The vision is to help restore the global ecosystem, foster healthy living, and reduce the university's impact on the local environment.
Educational Food Gardens
Emory has seven small educational food gardens on campus that highlight organic production methods and seasonal food. Five gardens are maintained by teams of staff, students, neighbors, and faculty, and harvests are shared within each team. Boasting lovely tomatoes, lettuces, peas, beans, greens, eggplant, broccoli, strawberries, and even cotton, the gardens have become islands of beauty and campus interest. Two other gardens are more specialized: a medicinal herb garden has been established at the School of Nursing, and the Yerkes Primate Center has an herb and flower garden for enrichment activities for the primates in the facility.
