Who can use Learning Programs services?

All Learning Programs services are available for current Emory College students. In addition, tutoring is availalbe for Nursing School Students, personal consultations are available for any student registered with the Office of Disability Services (ODS), and assistive technology is availalbe for all faculty, staff and students.

When are services available?

All Learning Programs services are available during the academic year (August - May). In addition, personal consultations and assistive technology are available during the summer. Peer tutoring and Supplemental Instruction have limited availability during the summer.

How much do Learning Programs services cost?

Learning Programs services may be used for no additional cost.

Is tutoring available for specific courses?

Tutoring is availble for specific courses in Emory College and the Nursing School. For a list of courses, please visit the Tutoring Course Availability page. If there is a course you need assistance with, but is not listed, please complete the Tutor/Course Not Available Request form.

Where can I find tips for being a better student?

There are resources posted throughout this website. You can start on our Overview page and select a category that best fits your needs. You can also make an appointment for a personal consultation to discuss your personal learning needs and goals.

Can I meet with someone to discuss study skills or time management?

Learning Specialists are availble to discuss study skills, time management and other academic concerns students have. In addition, you can review our Tips pages for specific study skills.

What ESL support is available for international students and non-native speakers?

There is a variety of ESL support available for international and non-native speakers. Students can make personal consultation appointments and meet with peer tutors to review papers and presentations. There is also a section of English 101 with ESL support availble for students who took the EEA and received an invitation to enroll.

I'm registered with ODS. Are there additional services I can use?

Students registered with ODS may use all services offered through Learning Programs. We suggest that students make personal consultation appointments with a Learning Specialist to discuss using accommodations successfully as well as learning strategies that support your academic goals.
