Catalog Description: (Same as Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology 301.) Prerequisites: Biology 142; Chemistry 141 and 142. An introduction to cellular and integrative neurobiology. Topics include the electrochemical and biophysical mechanisms for neuronal signaling, synaptic transmission, and the neural bases of behavior and perception.

Semester Details:

This course is an introduction to cellular and integrative neurobiology.  Topics include the electrochemical and biophysical mechanisms for neuronal signaling and synaptic transmission, and the neural bases of behavior and perception.

There will also be a one hour review session each week.

This course fulfills the Column B requirement for the biology major. 

There is an optional 2 credit hour lab practicum (Biology 360L/NBB 301L) associated with the course (Tu, 4:00-6:00, 1462 Clifton Road, room 109) that, when taken together with Biol 360/NBB 301, will fulfill the upper level lab requirement for the biology major.

 This course is cross-listed as NBB 301.
