Catalog Description: (Same as REL 210RS.) This course will explore classic religious texts in depth, developing skills to interpret sacred, philosophical, and ethical works. Social, cultural, and/or philosophical contexts at work will provide an interpretive framework.

Semester Details: The Psalms  remain one of the central documents of western culture and religion.Each generation reads them in the light of traditions received from previousgenerations and of current experience. This course will bring to the studentvarious interpretations of the Psalmsand it will demand that students do their own interpretation of these greatclassic texts.
