Catalog Description: Prerequisite: Economics 101. Covers current debates on the workings of the aggregate economy, including unemployment, inflation, economic growth, the national debt, financial markets, money and the banking system, and international trade.
Semester Details: Content: This course studies the workings of the aggregate economy and the factors that determine the level of unemployment, inflation and economic growth. Among topics covered are fiscal policies and budget deficits; the banking system, the money supply and monetary policy and the Federal Reserve system. Current economic issues are emphasized.
