Catalog Description: This course will incorporate indoor cycling for both the novice and the experience cyclist. This class will encompass the fundamentals of proper biomechanics and cycling techniques as well as safety associated with indoor cycling classes. This course incorporates the Principles of Physical Fitness lecture component which includes various topics of fitness and wellness and has two written exams. Pre and post physical fitness assessment along with other laboratory assignments will be administered. This class fulfills the Principles of Physical Fitness requirement.

The main objective of the course is to  improve and/or maintain cardiovascular and muscular endurance, to enhance the students practical and cognitive knowledge in fitness and nutrition concepts, and to establish a sound, individual exercise program that may be maintained throughout life. The main activity component of this class will be indoor cycling ("spinning").
