Spanish 302 offers an introduction to the study of the cultural production of Spain and Latin America and the context in which it has been produced, from the 18th century until today. The course covers the reading and analysis of literary texts (novel, short stories, poetry) as well as visual texts (paintings and film). The course's emphasis is transatlantic and interdisciplinary. Class discussions are organized around specific topics focused on affinities and discrepancies on the Hispanic world way of thinking and culture.
