Content: This course is designed to enhance the individual's proficiency in personal safety and to encourage further work in the directions of professional lifeguarding. The skills will include the most contemporary methods of injury prevention and rescue. Students will also complete a course in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the professional rescuer as well as other first aid procedures. Successful completion of all requirements will result in ARC National Certification. Strict attendance policy in effect.
Particulars: Written and practical test.
Prerequisite – Students must pass pre-course skills test (300 yds and a 25-yard brick retrieval/tow). The pre-course skills test (prerequisite) is given once classes begin, but before the end of drop/add. Anyone who enters the class after drop/add who cannot pass the prerequisite should not register for the class.
