Semester Details: Content: This course introduces the student to the interdisciplinary field of feminist science studies.  The course will cover a historical analysis of scientific research on the brain in relation to gender, and provide cultural critiques of these early scientific studies.  Students will also examine current topics in neuroscience and gender as they relate to: (i) the question of women in science, (ii) the relation between gender and scientific research, (iii) scientific research on gender differences, and (iv) scientific practices and the use of biotechnologies.  This course aims to inform undergraduate students in the natural sciences, social sciences and/or humanities regarding the social and political impacts of neuroscience research and technological progress
