Catalog Description: Variable credit; may be repeated for a maximum of eight hours. Permission required prior to enrollment. Student research on projects directed by environmental studies faculty members. Students may register for a writing-intensive section (Environmental Studies 499WR) to fulfill a post-freshman writing requirement. Does not count for focus area credit.

Semester Details:

This is a permission only, individual study course. Students will work with a faculty supervisor on an independent project. With permission of faculty supervisor, student may register for writing intensive section. For further information regarding ENVS 499, please contact the ENVS department undergraduate coordinator. May be used to fulfill the Independent Study requirement for ENVS majors. May not be used to fulfill an Upper Level Elective Requirement for ENVS majors.
