Catalog Description: (Same as Biology 372.) Credit, two hours. Permission required. Prerequisite: Environmental Studies 371 or currently enrolled. This is the field course to accompany the lecture course on tropical ecology. Field trip will take place during the spring recess.

Semester Details:   This is the field course (2 credit hours) to accompany the lecture course on tropical ecology (ENVS 371 / BIOL 371) and will take place the week of Spring Break (March 6-15, 2009).  The field class is taught in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru. The upper Amazon basin is home to the greatest expression of life (biodiversity) on the entire planet. May be used to fulfill the Field Course requirement for ENVS majors when taken with ENVS 371, Ecology of the Tropics. Permission of instructor is required.
