This course introduces students to the basics of the flamenco form. Students will investigate specific dance skills, including zapateado (footwork), campas (rhythm), and hand and arm movements, as well as the music, gypsy culture, and pertinent historical background.
Required course for dance and movement studies majors. May be taken up to three times for credit.
