Catalog Description: Principles of genetics, physiology, ecology, taxonomy, and evolution with special reference to contemporary life situations. Intended for non-science majors. This course does not fulfill requirements for medical and dental schools or for a biology major.

Semester Details:

The lecture and laboratory portions of this course will be organized around 4 modules that relate biology to current issues.  Students in the course will help to shape the content of the course.  Both the lecture and laboratory portions of the course will emphasize student-centered, collaborative, inquiry-based learning.  Students must also register for a Biology 120 Laboratory.
