Ways of Giving

As an alumnus or friend who values the contributions of our students and scholars, you can make an impact in the life and legacy of our College by choosing one of the following ways to support Emory:

Jonathan Serrie"I give to show symbolically my thanks to Emory," says journalist Jonathan Serrie '87C.

Soon after graduation he began giving to Emory’s Annual Fund, even though the starting pay for journalists is notoriously low. Serrie realized that the financial aid he received as a student was made possible through others' gifts.

  • The Annual Fund is critically needed to fund scholarships that will give a high-quality educational experience to the most deserving students, regardless of their family’s income. As part of our strategic plan, we intend to boost merit- and need-based scholarships to recruit top students from diverse backgrounds (socio-economic, ethnic and geographical).

  • A major gift focused on one of the College’s priorities to Fund Raising Priorities will help us realize the main thrust of our strategic plan—a deeper investment in students, faculty, and facilities. See the public version of our strategic plan for more details.

  • Planned giving options give you a flexible way to leave behind an investment in the world that will continue to grow and enrich the lives of others.

For more information on how you might become involved, contact an Arts and Sciences Development staff member.

You can also make a gift today to Emory College by using this secured website. You may make your gift by credit card, check, money order, electronic funds transfer, or even by giving appreciated stock or other real property. Simply choose the method that best suits your needs. We appreciate your support!

Donation Methods

1. Make Your Gift Today Online
Emory University uses a third-party vendor to secure your online credit card gift. The security certificate is registered with them, so please understand that the security warning you receive simply reflects the two names on the certificate.

Go here to Make a Gift Online.

2. Make Your Gift by Mail
If you prefer to send us your gift through standard mail, you may do so by printing the gift form (PDF) and sending it with your check to:

Office of Gifts and Records
Emory University
1762 Clifton Road
Atlanta, GA 30322-1710

You may also reply to any of the mailings we send you requesting your annual support.

3. Make Your Gift By Phone
If you would like to speak to an Emory Annual Fund representative about a gift or pledge, please call us weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm eastern time at 404.727.6200.

4. Make Your Gift via Electronic Funds Transfer
You can support Emory without ever writing another check.

Your gifts to Emory University are the building blocks that support Emory year-in and year-out. Now, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) makes giving that support even easier. Through EFT you can spread the cost of your annual support over the course of a year by authorizing your bank to transfer to Emory a monthly amount you’ve predetermined.

You may already use EFT to pay your mortgage, insurance, or auto loans. If so, you know how secure and convenient it is. You know exactly when the amount will be automatically debited from your bank account. You’ll no longer have to write out and mail in checks or figure out when in the year you can best afford the gift you want to make. EFT also benefits the University by eliminating the costs of mailing and telephoning our annual requests for donations and by simplifying our gift recording and receipting operations.

Be assured that your account will only be accessed for this purpose and for the amount that you have shown (minimum $5 per month). All the information will be held in the strictest confidence. To implement your charitable support of Emory through EFT, simply fill out the EFT form (PDF) and send it in with a voided check to:

Office of Alumni and Development Records
ATTN: Electronic Funds Transfer Administrator
Emory University

Atlanta, GA 30322-1710

5. Matching Gift Program
Does your employer (or your spouse's employer) have a matching gift program? If so, please remember to submit your request to your company to have your gift to Emory matched. Matching gifts are a very important source of support for Emory! You can double or even triple the value of your donation by simply notifying your employer of your gift to Emory. See if you or your spouse's company has a matching gift program (PDF). If you have any questions about how to get your gift matched, contact Chad Wood at 404.727.8770 or ctwood@emory.edu.
