English as a Second Language (ESL)

Programs | Resources

Students writingEmory's undergraduate curriculum places high demands on listening proficiency, oral communication, reading comprehension, writing skills, vocabulary development and grammar.

Any student who speaks English as an additional language and would like support in any of these areas is encouraged to seek ESL services. Individual consultations and group interventions are available through Learning Programs.

Emory English Assessment (EEA)

All incoming international students who speak English as their second language will be required to take the Emory English Assessment (EEA) during Orientation. International students should now have received an email explaining the date, time and place of their assessments. Please make sure you contact the EEA coordinators at uiflp@learnlink.emory.edu to confirm. If you have NOT received this, feel it does not apply to you, or have any other questions please contact the EEA coordinators.
