Advising
- Academic Advising
OUE Advisors work closely with students to provide individual academic advising, problem solving for academic issues and referrals to campus resources. The goal is to help students create meaningful academic plans and maximize their academic success.
- Freshman Advising & Mentoring at Emory (FAME)
FAME is a mandatory fall program for first-year students in Emory College. As part of the College's pre-major advising program, FAME is designed to support students in the transition from high school to college.
- Majors and Minors Advising
Students must complete requirements for the major in a particular academic field. Students may be certified in two, but not more than two, areas of concentration. Minors are available in certain fields for students who wish to complete a minor in addition to a major. A student may thus have two majors or one major and a minor. Students must maintain at least a C (2.0) average in any major or minor they complete.
- Science Advising
Faculty in science departments are great resources to help guide your science experiences at Emory. To help you get started, you should check with the Director of Undergraduate Study in the department you’re interested in. Academic advisors from the Office of Undergraduate Education are also available to help. Our office also offers academic support specifically designed for science students in introductory math and science courses.
See also ScienceNet. The Center for Science Education (CSE) promotes access, interest and participation in science careers. Our programs bolster science literacy and provide hands-on research experiences for students and teachers at the precollege, college and postgraduate levels.
Support
- Learning Programs
Learning Programs is the unit of the Office for Undergraduate Education that provides a variety of sources of academic support to Emory College undergraduates. These programs include individualized and small group tutoring, collaborative learning groups facilitated by peers, science mentoring, consultations and workshops.
