Transient Study (study at other colleges)

Overview | General Rules | Guidelines | FAQ | Applications & Forms | Checklist

Overview

Two students walkingTransient Study gives Emory students the opportunity to enroll as a guest at another accredited school in the United States (including Puerto Rico and U.S Virgin Islands) during the summer, while receiving credit towards their Emory College degree. Students are eligible for Transient Study if they are in good academic standing in the College and are either in their freshman year or have fewer than 68 credit hours. Students who submit completed transient study applications by April 15, 2008, will receive a response within three weeks (by Tuesday, May 6, 2008, for those who submit applications on April 15). Students may submit transient study applications after this date, but are not guaranteed to receive a response within a three-week timeframe.

International students who are visa holders and would like to take Transient Study overseas must contact the Center for International Programs Abroad (CIPA) at cipa@emory.edu. The center also has specific information about international summer programs on its website. The petition deadline for International Transient Study 2008 is April 15, 2008.
