Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans

Apply fall of senior year.

The Soros Foundation funds up to two years of graduate study in any field at any university in the United States. A Soros Fellow must be a new immigrant, a holder of a Green card, a naturalized citizen, and the child of two naturalized citizen parents. Candidates must be under 30 years of age. Thirty fellowships are awarded annually, providing one-half tuition cost and a stipend of $20,000.

Successful candidates give evidence of two of the following attributes:

  1. creativity, originality, and initiative
  2. commitment to and capacity for accomplishment
  3. commitment to the values expressed in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
