Robert T. Jones, Jr. Scholarship

Apply early Spring term. Open to sophomores, seniors, and graduate students who will not be more than 23 years old at the time study commences.

This scholarship was established in 1976 to honor the late Robert T. Jones, Jr. He is widely recognized as an internationally renowned golfer. In addition, he is an Emory alumnus remembered by those who knew him well as an extraordinary human being, an individual of rare loyalty, compassion, and integrity. The Scholarship provides for a fully paid year of study for an Emory student at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. St Andrews, founded in 1410, is a coed university with an enrollment of 3,500. Ten percent of the students are postgraduates. The university has faculties of arts, sciences, and divinity. Social sciences are taught within these divisions. The Fine Arts Department emphasizes music and theater. The curriculum includes preclinical courses in medical science.
