The Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program, also known as the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, is designed to attract outstanding students who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the U.S. Department of State. By drawing students from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds, the Program develops a source of trained men and women dedicated to representing America's interests abroad. It is a way of life that requires uncommon commitment and occasional hardships. It also offers unique rewards and opportunities through the most interesting work in the world. The Foreign Affairs Fellowship Program provides undergraduate and graduate funding to participants to prepare them academically and professionally to enter the Foreign Service of the Department of State. Foreign Service career information may be found at the U.S. Department of State. Please confirm application dates with Dean Joanne Brzinski at poljb@emory.edu or call 404-727-6160.
