Scholarships & FellowshipsEmory Scholars Program | Honor Societies | Honors Program | Learning Programs | All-USA Academic TeamApply Fall Term. Applications are usually available in September. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are eligible to apply. Sixty students will be chosen to the 2005 All-USA Academic Team. They'll be featured in a two-page color package in the nation's newspaper. Twenty members of the first team will receive a $2,500 cash award and will be invited to a special awards luncheon. Six million readers will be witness to their accomplishments. A key element given most weight by the judges will be a student's outstanding original academic or intellectual product. The judges will be influenced by the student's ability to describe that outstanding endeavor in his/her own words. They will not read an author's work, see an artist's painting or hear a composer's music. They will rely solely on the student's ability to describe the effort in writing, supplemented by recommendations from the nominating professor and up to three other persons of the nominee's choice.
