Scholarship and Service Summer Program (SAS)
- Scholars may apply for an 8-week-long, community-based service program.
- This is a two-tiered program.
Beginning interns apply to participate in the Tier 1 Living/Learning Community while working in an Atlanta-based service organization. Stipend and living arrangements are provided.
- Experienced interns may participate in the Tier 2 Independent Internship. Working as an intern in a community-based service organization, they receive a stipend for the summer and must make their own housing arrangements. These scholars can attend the SAS Tier 1 retreat and are also welcome to sessions of the summer Living/Learning Community.
4) Class Priority
Scholars receive priority in class selection over other members of their own class. Class is determined based on number of credit hours earned. Priority status is automatically recognized by OPUS.
5) Housing Priority
Scholars may participate in the housing assignment system for University room and roommate selection. Priority is automatically assigned to scholar accounts when they complete the housing process as instructed. (This process does not guarantee that you will get the room you requested.) Special room selection occurs before general upperclassman selection.
Incoming first-year students do not receive housing priority.
