Overview:

There are two types of page in this hypertext supplement
- Outline pages: these roughly parallel the classroom lectures. Please note that because hypertext pages emphasize the visual aspects of history, some lectures correspond to more than one web page.
- Graphic pages: these show and describe photographs, maps or illustrations
