The site creators, Jim Morey and Chip Court, are an associate professor and graduate student, respectively, in the English Department at Emory University.

A happy conjunction of events made this site possible: first, an invitation from M. Patrick Graham, Head Librarian of Pitts Theology Library, to help with an exhibit of books in the library's Milton collection; second, the opportunity to participate in the Culpeper Foundation summer seminar on web design in conjunction with Emory's Center for Teaching and Technology .

We wish to thank Patrick Graham, Douglas Gragg, and Richard Wright of Pitts Theology Library for their help in making the books available.

We also wish to thank Harry Rusche, Carole Meyers, Jason Lemon, Marianne Schneider, and Caroline Landrum, all associated with the Culpeper program, for teaching two neophytes "Things else by [us] unsearchable, now heard / With wonder, but delight."
