Rare books at Emory are held in the Special Collections of two libraries: Woodruff Library and Pitts Theology Library. This web site has been developed in conjunction with an exhibit in the Pitts Theology Library (Fall 1999) to display and supplement the exhibit so as to acquaint visitors with the fuller contents of the exhibited texts and of the Emory collections. This site also aims to give a sense of what early printed books are like, and how they are described.
