Emory College is proud of our 2008 graduates and on the following pages we would like to show a few reasons why.
While we could share many success stories, the students selected here reflect the best features of our graduating class -- inquisitive,
energetic and more than ready to take their place in the world.
SGA President Emily Allen on the Class of 2008
How would you describe the Class of 2008?
The Class of 2008 is a vibrant, curious and socially conscious group of young adults.
This class is diverse in both background and opinion but has been able to come together as a true community over our four years at Emory.
We're sure that this sense of community will endure long after we leave Emory.
What distinguishing mark has your class left on Emory?
Through a marked increase in community-based events the Class of 2008 has led the way for future classes to have a greater appreciation for
Emory and our unique student population. One such event, Wonderful Wednesday, has transformed Asbury Circle into an active,
social and fun place where students can come together, weekly, to celebrate Emory. Our class worked hard to foster events such as
Wonderful Wednesday, and we know that future classes will appreciate these events and continue to grow them.
What do you think this class is destined to achieve as it leaves Emory?
Members of this class will go on to fight cancer, write plays, dance to packed auditoriums, hold public office,
travel the world, innovate in business and alleviate social inequalities. Our class is creative and socially engaged.
That combination holds endless possibilities. We're excited to see where we go from Emory.
